In 1983, when 80 acres of sea front of present sites of Mahkota-Parkson be developed by reclamation project, along the sea front of Straits of Malacca, where Kota Laksamana, Klebang, Limbongan are developed as Housing Project today, better known as Kota Laksamana Township. New housing estate & township, all in all, 2,000 acres of sea reclaimed. Few shipwrecks were found, attached with some celadon, porcelain, tin money, dated early 15th century, from Sungai Melaka, Malacca Riverside to Muara Sungai Melaka, straight to Straits of Malacca, where Melaka Sultanate Empire was found, Portugal & Dutch Colony was established, together with those empires of Sri vijaya, Majapahit, Aceh, Bugis, Minangkabau from Indonesia, or known as Nusantara. Admiral Cheng Ho & Ming Dynasty influences are found, also Vietnam and Siam elements prevailing.
When cleaning & clearing and beautification of Sungai Melaka Project launched since 2003, Dataran Pahlawan also launched, some historic sites surrounding are found with some artefacts of Tin Money of Melaka, celadon and porcelain , where MAM Museum personnel participated, work together with PERZIM & Jabatan Antiquiti.
