This is our Melaka Global Peace & Harmony World, One Malaysia, where multiracial multicultural and multi religious community, enriched with their unique architectural buildings designs, colourfully encysted with their strong influences and of Hinduism & Islamic elements in their Mosques ( dated 2-300 years old ) , Buddhism and Taoism-related elements, Kuan Yin Temple ( Cheng Hoon Teng, dated 1673 ) & tokong-tokong, also their cemetery , graveyards, makam, perkuburan, like Dutch Graveyards, Bukit China, Str. John Hill, Makam Hang Jebat, Hang Kasturi, Hang Tuah…..This is our tangible & intangible cultural heritage, also their funeral processing, praying rituals…

When Dutch colonial times in Malacca (1641-1825), this street shared with temple, hindu temple and mosque was called "Goldsmith Street". It's because at that time, there was a lot of Indian jeweler who worked and lived there.

马六甲在荷兰殖民时期（1641-1825），这条拥有寺庙，印度庙及回教堂的街道被称为“打铁街”。这是因为当时有很多印度珠宝商在这里工作及过生活。

The area around the mosque was formerly knows as "Kanpung Kling" because the most of the traders and Indians who had long lived there came from Kelingan, India since the Malacca Sultanate era.

Masjid Kampung Kling was built by India-Muslim community who also lived in the area.

回教堂的周遭被称为“Kampung Kling”，因为自马六甲苏丹国时代，曾长期住在这里的贸易商及印度同胞大多数都来自印度的Kelingan。

Masjid Kampung Kling是由也住在该地区的印度穆斯林所建的。
